Fox Run Author Sokolosky Hosted at Oak Grove Plantation

On the 159th Anniversary of The Battle of Averasboro, Fox Run author Wade Sokolosky – North Carolina’s Confederate Hospitals – was an honored guest at the historic Oak Grove Plantation which played an important role in the battle as a field hospital for both Union and Confederate troops.  Also present were members of the National Museum of Civil War Medicine in Frederick, Maryland, the Society of Civil War Surgeons in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, the nearby Bentonville Battlefield State Historic Site, and Del and Sandy Routh.  The owners of the beautiful Oak Grove Plantation shared their historic facilities with them and enjoyed the blessing of so much knowledge being shared on the ground where much of it happened.  Please follow Oak Grove Plantation on Facebook for more information and to plan your own visit.
